“Muskrat”

Muskrats like water environments.They build houses in shallow water or river banks. They eat aquatic vegetation, and occasionally clams, frogs and fish.

They have 2 to 3 litters per year of 5 or 6 babies. Muskrats have a long tail. The hind feet and tail serve as oars and a rudder when swimming. Their lips can close behind the incisor teeth enabling them to gnaw while underwater.
